In 1992, Barb and Tom Reif purchased property in Markesan, Wisconsin from Mary Kienas as a perfect place for a Community Based Residential Facility.  The CBRF is a multi-care facility with room for 15 residences.  The Barrett House also has 3 independent apartments all equipped with 24 hour emergency call systems.  We also do respite and adult day care at the facility.  We have a strong working relationship with hospice. 

We are a state licensed facility with complete fire alarm & sprinkler systems.  We supply a health monitoring system to supervise any medication needs.  The beauty of Barrett House is that we are small and intimate.  Much of the staff has been with me since I opened.  We are like a family and know our residents very well.  Plus don’t forget the beautiful grounds that support apple trees and flowers.  We have deer visiting our orchard. 

One feature our residents enjoy and use extensively is our gazebo which gives a view of everything listed above.
